  • Consultant Surgeon, Prince Charles Hospital- since 1996
  • Ext Professor of Coloproctology, University of South Wales – since 2000
  • Assistant Medical Director (Head of Education) for Cwm Taf University Health Board 2013 – 2017
  • Fellow of the Faculty of Surgical Trainers (Royal College of Surgeons, Edinburgh) – Since 2015
  • Established colorectal (bowel surgery) subspecialisation at PCH – 1996
  • Experience with laparoscopic (keyhole) surgery for bowel diseases since 1998 and now accredited trainer across Wales
  • Winner of the ‘Best Surgical Team in the UK- 1999’
  • Winner PEN National Award 2010
  • Winner NHS Wales Award 2011
  • Director of Cancer Services (1997 -2004) & Clinical Director for Combined Surgical Services (2004- 2008) at PCH

  • Started first company Synchronize in 1995
  • Specialised in Medical Media with DigiMed from 1997
  • Created first patient information video for Urology (Prostate Cancer Diagnosis & Treatment) in 1998 in Surrey
  • Trained the DigiMed team in Operating room etiquette and established a clinical protocol for best practice
  • Filmed extensively throughout UK from 2000
  • Started filming in Europe and created Patient Journey DVD’s for multiple Clinical disciplines
  • Won first contract in USA to showcase medical devices
  • Delivered a unique Plastics interactive flash based DVD which became the industry standard
  • Part of the winning team for PEN National Award 2010 and NHS Wales Award 2011
  • Created first interactive App in 2010
  • Designed unique online resource for Colorectal Procedures in 2015
